On August 25th, the 2023 Fujian Province Happiness Rivers and Lakes Construction Exchange Conference, guided by the China Hydraulic Engineering Society and co-hosted by the Fuzhou Municipal People's Government and the Fujian Province Happiness Rivers and Lakes Promotion Association, was held in Fuzhou. Lin Baojin, a member of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee, attended and delivered a speech. Ye Shuangyu, former Deputy Director of the Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee, was present. Zhang Jianyun, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Honorary Director of the Expert Committee of the Fujian Province Happiness Rivers and Lakes Promotion Association, connected via audio. Lin Zexin, Chief Engineer of the Taihu Basin Administration of the Ministry of Water Resources, Liu Lin, Party Secretary of the Fujian Provincial Department of Water Resources, and Liu Daoqi, President of the Fujian Province Happiness Rivers and Lakes Promotion Association, delivered speeches. Shen Qingfu, the Supervisor of the Fujian Province Happiness Rivers and Lakes Promotion Association, Huang Jianxiong, Standing Committee member and Secretary-General of the Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee, and Lin Zhiliang, Deputy Mayor of Fuzhou, attended. Relevant leaders and department heads from the Fujian Provincial Department of Water Resources, expert committees, executive council units of the Provincial Happiness Rivers and Lakes Promotion Association, water conservancy bureaus (river chiefs’ offices) from various cities and counties (districts), universities, enterprises, research institutions, and representatives of municipal Happiness Rivers and Lakes Promotion Associations, nearly 200 people, participated in the exchange meeting. Istrong Technology co-hosted this exchange meeting, and Tang Chengfeng, its President and Vice President of the Provincial Promotion Association, was invited to participate.

This exchange meeting included nine major segments: the launching ceremony of the Fujian Province Rivers and Lakes Happiness Evaluation System, the unveiling ceremony of the Hohai University Fujian River and Lake Chief Training Base and the “Youth Companionship, Water Conservation in Fujian” Youth Volunteer Action Practice Base, the interpretation of the "Happiness Rivers and Lakes Evaluation Guidelines", expert thematic reports, sharing of happiness rivers and lakes construction experience from Fuzhou, Quanzhou, Sanming, and Zhangzhou, the executive council meeting of the Fujian Province Happiness Rivers and Lakes Promotion Association, the business training of river and lake chiefs by Hohai University, field research at the Sanjie River, Beautiful Minjiang Exhibition Hall, Minjiang River, and happiness rivers and lakes research in the Minjiang River.

To thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's water management philosophy of "water conservation priority, spatial balance, systematic governance, dual approaches," and actively practice the "Citizen's Water Conservation Behavior Standards," the Fujian Provincial Department of Water Resources, Education Department, and Provincial Youth League Committee jointly formulated the "Youth Companionship, Water Conservation in Fujian" youth volunteer special action plan. From August 2022 to August 2025, the plan will be implemented province-wide with "six hundred" series of water-saving education and practice activities. The Fujian Province Happiness Rivers and Lakes Promotion Association and Fuzhou University, as co-organizers, specially invited Istrong Technology and five other units as the "Youth Companionship, Water Conservation in Fujian" youth volunteer special action practice bases, comprehensively promoting "six hundred" series of water-saving education and practice activities.

Zheng Xiaoping, Supervisor of the Fujian Province Happiness Rivers and Lakes Promotion Association, Zhu Ya, Dean of the Distance and Continuing Education College of Hohai University, and twelve leaders including Vice Presidents of the Provincial Promotion Association Yu Bin, Huang Weimin, Huang Linxiang, Zhang Ting, Zheng Binqiang, Tang Chengfeng, Zheng Sheng, Huang Jinxing, Tang Weizhao, and Chen Hongkun jointly unveiled the Hohai University Fujian River and Lake Chief Training Base and the “Youth Companionship, Water Conservation in Fujian” Youth Volunteer Action Practice Base.

As the Vice President unit of the Fujian Province Happiness Rivers and Lakes Promotion Association, Istrong Technology will work together with the Promotion Association to deeply practice Xi Jinping's ecological civilization thought, respond to the great call of building "happiness rivers for the benefit of the people," take on the responsibility of promoting river and lake governance and protection, better explore and publicize the experience and effectiveness of Fuzhou's comprehensive water management and happiness rivers and lakes construction work, accelerate the construction of a modern international city with beautiful mountains and clear waters, form a Fujian model of happiness rivers and lakes where humans and water coexist harmoniously, and let more happiness rivers and lakes benefit Fujian and serve the people.
